i am a new developer of asterisk please guide me how to download and install developer editor in pc for developing a ivr software.
and what hardware is required.

If you're a developer, you should have the aptitude that makes learning Asterisk really easy. IVRs are just contexts and dialplans. Just learn those and you'll be set.

Hello shiv,
there is no such thing as asterisk developer edition, all u need is the lastest source code tree "trunk" and you can start playing and messing around, about the hardware you don't need any hardware if you will not connect to any PSTN / E1 / T1 network, you can use pure sip / iax envirument.. In case you will need to connect to PSTN network then you need to get hardware.
